As a company committed to our environment, customer satisfaction, and quality construction, we are constantly in search of the most effective ways to achieve an environmentally sensitive completed project. While we all want the most efficient building, NMZ understands that our goal is to provide our customers with an environmentally sensitive and efficient building that fits without your budget.

The following are photos of different products that are systems we regularly use: Closed-cell insulation with batt insulation: this assembly allows us to achieve an insulating factor of R-21 (standard construction practice produces an R-15). The spray foam also allows us to fill all voids in the walls of a home, thereby eliminating annoying and costly drafts. On this 4000 SF home, the additional cost for foam insulation was $7000, but the estimated payback period in reduced utility bills is 6-7 years!

As such, through our affiliation with Green Restoration, which is a member of the Green Building Council, and our experience building Energy Star homes, we make all our projects environmentally sensitive. Whether you desire to build a LEED certified building or simply use low or no VOC paints and adhesives, we will ensure that we achieve your goal.

We work with our clients to implement Green methodologies into the project will maintaining a sensitive awareness to the ultimate budget. Green technologies and techniques are constantly changing and we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the learning curve.

Recycled Denim

A great product that comes from recycled cotton is a wonderful alternative to conventional insulation. First, the recycled denim is a reused resource, which is great; second, there are no harmful chemicals in the denim insulation as there is in the traditional insulation.
